The Antelope Valley Dream Center is a volunteer driven, faith based, non-profit community outreach founded by John and Denise Perry in 2013. Our mission is to reach the “unreached” people of the Antelope Valley, and surrounding communities, who do not reside near assisting resources. We are committed to reach people in order to build them up, restore hope in their lives, and inspire them to dream again.
Since the AV Dream Center started, we have built relationships with families and children through our SERVE Day and Neighborhood Impact programs. We have been able to distribute groceries to thousands of families in need and touch the lives of men, women and children.
As we share the good news of God’s redeeming love, our desire is to instill hope to the destitute, and assist in providing basic needs to those struggling to make ends meet. More importantly, to promote a community of people who build and support one another by sharing their time, resources, and love to those in need.
Our vision is to have a main facility which will be a hub for other resources. Our facility will offer: Warehouse space for emergency food and disaster relief storage, Offices & meeting areas for training and classes, Volunteer programs, and a Community Thrift Store which will also be used for job training and resources. One of our goals is to be a major USDA Food Distribution Hub for other organizations and church pantries throughout the Antelope Valley inspiring them to reach out to their perspective communities.
Our immediate needs are to obtain a 26,ooo GVW, refrigerated box truck, 26 ft. long with a lift gate, as well as a 5,000 sq. ft. warehouse facility.
Serve Day is held every last Saturday of the month. Volunteers meet at the Joshua Community House at 7:30 a.m. We load up the Mobile Food Trucks and take them out to different sites in the AV.
We also have activities at the Joshua Community House starting at 10: 30 a.m. that same day. (Days are subject to change during the holiday season at the end of the year.)
Our goal is to make connections and build relationships with people so we can share the love of God and find a way to serve them.
Everyone has something to give, whether it's a helpful hand, a loving smile, good food, or a job skill. If you are interested in serving on a regular basis, or once in a while, we would love to have you join us.
The Joshua Community House is part of the Neighborhood Impact Program which is a ministry head up by Grace Chapel. Neighborhood Impact is a coalition of churches/organizations that have come together in the Antelope Valley in order to help meet the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of those who live in "high-risk" neighborhoods.
The Joshua Community House is located at 302 East Ave. J-12, Lancaster, CA 93535
